Awana Store Night

Kids had a great time spending their Awana bucks that they've earned so far this year! They also got to hear from Ms. Carolyn, a missionary in Ghana, West Africa, about the work they are doing there.

2010 - 2011 Awana Calendar

Sept 1 - Awana begins: Parents and kids' orientation night
Sept 8 - Crazy Hair Night: Style, color, fix up, put down, and create your crazy hair look for the night. Nothing permanent please!
Sept 15 - Noah's Ark Night: Dress as your favorite member of Noah's family or as one of the animals on the ark.
Sept 29 - Rock Night: Clubbers will write a verse on a small to medium-sized rock to create a verse garden.
Oct 6 - Movie Night: Enjoy popcorn & a movie.
Oct 13 - T&T Awana Store
Cubbies/Sparks - Stuffed Animal Night: Bring your favorite stuffed animal.
Oct 20 - Cubbies/Sparks Awana Store
T&T - Jeopardy Night: A game night of Jeopardy with questions based on verses learned so far!
Oct 27 - In Your Face Night: The boy & girl in each club that said the most verses so far get to put a pie in the Commander's face! Then the next top 2 in each club get to have a water gun show-down with their Leader!
Nov 3 - Pajama Night: We all wear pajamas, robes, slippers and messy hair. Contests for the best!
Nov 10 - T.P. Night: It's everything T.P.! Toilet paper tubes and rolls of TP can be used during game time. After handbook time, clubbers get to wrap up their leader in toilet paper. The more sections, the more toilet paper!
Nov 17 - Buddy Night: Younger Awana members are paired up with an older one.
Nov 24 - No Awana: Thanksgiving
Dec 1 - T&T Awana Store
Cubbies/Sparks - God & Country Night: We will be making cards to send to a service man or woman serving our country to show them our love and thanks and send our prayers.
Oct 20 - Cubbies/Sparks Awana Store
T&T - Canned Food Night: Bring canned goods to donate to the needy.
Dec 1 - Christmas Play Night: Parents are invited to join and watch a Christmas play and enjoy refreshments.
Dec 22 - No Awana: Christmas

Jan 5 - F.R.O.G. Night: Learn to Fully Rely On God.
Jan 12 - B.A.R.F. Night: Be A Real Friend/Bring A Real Friend. Bring a friend to Awana and you and your friend will receive a prize - small candy bar or small toy and/or Awana shares!
Jan 19 - The Great Big Banana Split: Yes, it's the big one!
Jan 26 - Pastor Appreciation Night: Clubbers will write letters or color pictures to give to the pastors telling them how much they appreciate them.
Feb 2 - T&T Awana Store
Cubbies/Sparks - Puppet Night: We will be making puppets to tell a bible story or use a special story to share with the club.
Feb 9 - Cubbies/Sparks Awana Store
T&T - Tape Up Night: Clubbers will have a good time wrapping up the commander and leaders.
Feb 16 - Chocolate Night: Candy kisses, candy bars, and lots of chocolate for passing verses and bringing guests.
Feb 23 - Parent's Night: Parents join clubbers and have a great time playing games!
Mar 2 - Movie Night: Enjoy popcorn & a movie!
Mar 9 - Firefly Night: Bring your flashlights and light up the night for Christ!
Mar 16 - Fishers of Men Night: Clubbers will make a fishing pole and "fish" for your memory verse or question. Candy and/or Awana bucks will be awarded for correct answers!

Cubbies/Sparks - Jelly Bean Night: Jelly beans are awarded for verses and sections.

T&T - Jeopardy Night: A game night of Jeopardy with questions based on verses learned so far!
Apr 6 - Leaps and Bounds Night: A night of jumping ropes, leaping games and hopping around the handbook!
Apr 12 - Great Goofy Grape Gulp: Enjoy grape juice and grape soda and learn about how our actions influence others.
Apr 17 - Blind Man's Bluff: Games are played blindfolded!
Apr 24 - Thank You Night: Each clubber should bring a thank you note for God, an Awana leader, helper or associate who has made an impact or difference in their life.
May 4 - Cookie Night: Clubbers should bring cookies to share.
May 11 - AWARDS CEREMONY: Awards Night. Parents are expected to attend.
